It also draws on the experience of managing an outbreak at Highlands House care, a nursing home in Cape Town, South Africa. This document was developed in South Africa and makes some reference to South Africa in terms of testing procedures but operating procedures should have general applicability in other Low and Middle Income Countries. Care facilities may need to adapt these procedures to their individual circumstances, budgets and operating models.
